IceTV adds EPG listings for 3D Test channel (Ch40)

June 11th, 2010

Just in time for the World Cup opener between South Africa and Mexico tonight, we’ve added separate listings to our EPG for the matches we know are going to be broadcast in 3D on the new 3D Test channel, channel 40 (Ch40).

So, for those users with a 3D TV already or that want to record the 3D broadcast on their 3D capable PVR (such as selected Topfield PVR models) and then be able to watch it back when they have a 3D TV, you now can automatically with IceTV.

To get access to the 3D Trial channel you will need to preform a channel rescan and look for Channel 40. For detailed instructions on how to do this, please visit our Help section and look for the setup instructions for your device.

According to the SBS website, the following 15 matches of the World Cup will be broadcast in 3D;

You can now log in via go our Interactive TV Guide, mobile site or iPhone app and start scheduling all the 3D matches to record at home. Just search for shows under the new channel “3D Test”, to see what’s available each day.

Please Note: IceTV will only list programs and events that have been advertised as being broadcast in 3D within the IceTV EPG. All other times when there is just a demo loop being played on the 3D Test channel, there will not be any guide data available. We believe the 3D Test channel is only currently available in capital cities.

Cheers,

IceTV
