‘Advanced Searching’ now available via IceTV Interactive

January 7th, 2010

IceTV have now added new ‘Advanced Searching’ to IceTV Interactive to make it even easier for you to find your favourite shows on digital free-to-air TV.

For those that hate using their remote control and their device at home to manually search for shows in the upcoming broadcast schedule or that find it difficult to setup a ‘Keyword Recording’, our new ‘Advanced Searching’ feature makes it incredibly easy and is yet another reason why you should use IceTV Interactive to manage your TV viewing.

With ‘Advanced Searching’ you can search for your favourite TV shows more accurately than ever before by specifying what ‘keywords’ or search terms you want IceTV to look for in the particular fields you want.

Simply select the ‘Advanced Search’ option in the top right-hand corner when viewing the TV Guide on our Interactive website, iPhone app or TV Guide Widget and instantly search the upcoming TV broadcast schedule for shows with matching words in the series name, episode name, description, actors, directors, genres or year of production. You can even specify whether the shows you are searching for should be repeats or not. Once set, select ‘search’ and let IceTV do all the work for you!

If you want IceTV to continuously look for matching shows in the future, simply select “Add a Keyword Record or Keyword Favourite” on the next page. IceTV will then search the upcoming TV broadcast schedule for digital free-to-air TV and either automatically notify you of any shows that match (Keyword Favourite), or go ahead and instruct your device at home to automatically record them (Keyword Record). IceTV’s new ‘Advanced Searching’ is available now via our Interactive website, iPhone app or TV Guide Widget and is yet another reason why IceTV Interactive is the simplest way to manage your TV viewing. Log-in now and test it out for yourself.

Please Note: IceTV members that have a ‘Keyword Record’ or ‘Keyword Favourite’ already set up, should check the settings within IceTV Interactive to ensure they continue as normal.
