New Firmware for Topfield TF7100 finally released

Topfield has just released a new firmware (software version) for their award winning High Definition TF7100 PVR, which they believe fixes all of the known stability issues experienced by customers over the past 6 months.

We have tested the latest “(20090317)” firmware and the results indicate that the new firmware version does indeed resolve the stability issues. We recommend that all TF7100 customers download it from Topfield’s website and update their PVR’s at home as soon as possible.

When you click on the link below to download the file, you will see the following important message from Topfield displayed on your computer screen;

“Warning! -If you use version 1.45 or below this update requires hard disk formatting. Prior to proceed upgrading, back up your hard disk. We have no responsibility for losing contents of hard disk in your PVR. If you understand above message, press yes and download new update”.

We suggest that all TF7100 customers contact Topfield Customer Support directly on 1300 766 440 if they are unsure of how to do this or want to find out more about backing up their hard drive so that they don’t lose any recordings.

Once you have updated the firmware successfully and gone through the setup instructions (above), we suggest that you also login to your “My Account” and select the “resend all recordings” option under your ‘Interactive Devices’ settings. This will ensure that all your series recordings are resent to your Topfield the next time your TF7100 contacts our IceTV Server for scheduling requests.
