Domayne becomes 1st to stock IceTV subscriptions!

April 1st, 2007

The Domayne franchise (comprising of 13 stores nationally) under the Derni group, becomes the first major retailer in Australia to stock prepaid IceTV subscriptions alongside “IceTV compatible” hardware devices.

Domayne and IceTV have struck an exclusive deal which sees the retail franchise continue in it’s aggregation of bringing the latest in digital home entertainment and the convergence of TV and the Web to the consumer.

Domayne stores will start by selling 12 month subscriptions to IceTV (RRP $99) in both the audio/visual and the computers/communications sections in each retail outlet as the perfect supplement to any sale of an “IceTV compatible” hardware device, such as a PC media center, TV tuner card for Mac or set-top-box Personal Video Recorder (PVR or DVR).

Consumers will be able to see the latest gadgets for recording digital free-to-air TV, running IceTV’s electronic program guide (EPG) and Personal Interactive Media Planner (PIMP) for remote scheduling all in the one location. Whether it be a Mac with a TV tuner card running EyeTV, a PVR or DVR… or the latest slimline media center PC running Microsoft’s new Vista operating system… consumers will be able to see for themselves the lifestyle benefits and the new world of ‘time shifted’ TV.

Similiar to prepaid iTunes cards, each card will contain a prepaid subscription to IceTV along with setup instructions and further information specific to IceTV’s services.

For people living in NSW, ACT or the Gold Coast wanting to see a deomonstration of the different “IceTV compatible” devices available.. up and running, we strongly recommend you visit your nearest Domayne store.
