Channel 99 (or 88) aka GO!… will begin this Sunday!

August 5th, 2009

GO! the new channel from the Nine Network, will be officially launched on channel 99 (or channel 88 for regional users) this Sunday night (9th of August) at 6:30pm.

As part of this ‘soft launch’… the Nine Network will kick things off on GO! with shows like ‘Wipeout’, ‘Dance Your Ass Off’ and even more episodes of ‘CSI’. According to most reports, GO! will be structured like a subscription TV channel with ‘block’ programming from 3:30pm – 12am each day… so don’t be too surprised to see the odd ‘repeat’ or two.

Over the coming weeks, IceTV will closely monitor the launch of GO! and start to provide our own listings within the IceTV EPG for each guide region as soon as possible. Hopefully over time and in the build up to the official launch of GO! in October, we will start to see new content. We’re as excited as everyone about the potential of what a new channel can bring to free-to-view television (aka Freeview™) and IceTV users will enjoy the freedom to watch whatever they want whenever they want on GO! as well as ‘go’ and skip anything they don’t want.

When we are confident with our coverage of GO! and we have been able to update our own IceTV EPG internally to reflect the new channel, we will notify all IceTV users accordingly. We greatly appreciate your patience during this time and we thank you in advance for your ongoing support.

In the meantime, for more information on what TV shows to expect on GO! we recommend you ‘go’ to our good friends over at TV Tonight.

Alternatively, you can ‘go’ to the official GO! website or call the Go! Helpline on 1300 152 231 if you want to hear how ‘kick-ass’ it will be.

To ensure you get access to the new channel, we recommend that you perform a ‘channel rescan’ on your digital TV recorder at home before Sunday’s ‘soft launch’.

If you need instructions or are unsure how to do this, please read the setup guide for your recorder. If you come across any technical problems whilst trying to do this, please don’t hesitate to contact our support team or the Go! themselves on 1300 152 231

Stay tuned for more information on GO! to follow.

Regards,

IceTV
